Genre Reading Challenge.

Read 3 books from 3 different genres. Complete a simple google form telling us what you loved (or hated) about the book. If you read 3 different genres, you will be eligible to have your photo taken at our library Platform 9 3/4.  You can invite your favorite teacher to join you in the photo.

For those of you who want more of a challenge - read as many different books and genres as you can.

The top 30 students with the most genres/books read will receive a pair of Harry Potter glasses on the last day of the semester.  Watch the advisory slides on Friday to keep up with the leader board to see who is winning.

Library Hours

The library is currently closed until the school re-opens.

Checkout policies
Books are due back in two weeks. Students may renew their books as often as they need, so long as there is not a hold on the book. Students may check out up to 8 books at a time, so long as their account is in good standing.

Books that are currently checked out will not be considered late.  They should be returned when we return to school.
Meanwhile, please enjoy reading the ebooks accessible in our catalog (above) and in the school e book databases, accessible on the Research Databases Page
Using the Destiny system
Students may search the library catalog without logging in. By logging in, students can create and access resource lists, review books, place a hold on an item, and see items checked out, fines due, and the status of a hold. A student must be logged in to access e-books in the catalog. To get or update your username and password, contact the librarian.
You can  also access the library catalog on your tablets and phones.

Donating to the secondary library
We are continuing to grow our secondary library collection. The bulk of our print collection will be fiction materials with our major non-fiction resources being digital. We are adding e-books and already have databases of e-books for research and reading. We do accept donations of books in good condition.  Donated books will be placed in the library or in teacher classroom libraries.
